18 Days Uganda Marathon- Rwanda
Lake Mburo, Rwanda, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Lake Bunyonyi, Queen Elizabeth, Semuliki National Park, Kibale Forest, Murchison Falls National Parks, Ssese Islands, Jinja Kampala Tour.

Day One: Airport pickup
You will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel by one of our personnel. Rest/overnight at budget-Banda Inns BB, midrange-Hotel Africana BB, upgrade-Mamba Point BB.
Day Two: Lake Mburo
Depart for Lake Mburo at 9.00am after breakfast for a 4-4 ½ hour’s drive. Stop over at the Equator for lunch then proceed to Lake Mburo arriving in time for a boat ride on Lake Mburo, you will see impalas, eland, waterbuck, klipspringer, zebra and buffalo, Hippos and crocodiles. Return to camp, have the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at upgrade-Mihingo Lodge FB, budget-Rwonya Camp bed only.
Day Three: Transfer to Rwanda
You will have an early morning game drive, after breakfast, with your parked lunch transfer to Rwanda dinner and overnight at, Gorilla’s Nest Hotel FB.
Day Four: Gorilla Tracking- Rwanda- Transfer to Kisoro
After an early tea or coffee with your packed lunch and the necessary tracking gear you will report to the park offices for a briefing that prepares you for gorilla tracking. Your guide will take you through thick vegetation on a 1-7 hour trail, when you finally meet the gorillas, you will spend one hour with them and return to Gorilla Nest Hotel then transfer to Kisoro arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel FB.
Day Five: Gorilla Tracking- Uganda
After an early tea or coffee, with your packed lunch and necessary tracking gear you will report to the Park offices for a briefing that prepares you for your tracking. This tracking will crown what you enjoyed in Rwanda the previous day. After your Tracking return to the Hotel. Evening at leisure, dinner and overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel FB.
Day Six: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast drive to the Lake Bunyonyi environs for a day of relaxation enjoying the beautiful scenery and serene environment. Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lava dammed lake in East and central Africa housing over 25 scenic Islands each with a different mythical tale for instance the punishment Island that tells of the pain and tears of many Bakiga women abandoned on the Island and left for dead for getting pregnant out of wedlock. Lunch at Nature’s Prime Island on Lake Bunyonyi. You will take part in an optional activity of your choice. Dinner and overnight at Nature’s Prime Island FB.
Day Seven: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth
After breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park with your packed lunch arriving in time for an evening game drive. There are chances that you will see the Uganda kob, waterbucks, warthogs, elephants, buffalos, hyenas, lions and leopards. Dinner and overnight at budget-Albertine Rift Safari Lodge FB, midrange-Kingfisher Kichwamba FB, upgrade-Mweya Safari Lodge FB.
Day Eight: Queen Elizabeth
Rise early in the morning for the morning game drive look out for what you missed during the previous evening’s game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. You will go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel after lunch. The cruise takes you through schools of hippos that huff and spray only feet away from the boat, you will see buffaloes and elephants that linger in the shallows, a diversity of bird species including the black chested eagle, the swallow tailed bee eaters, pink backed pelicans, great and long tailed cormorants, African jacana, malachite and a great deal more kingfishers. Dinner and overnight at budget-Albertine Rift Safari Lodge FB, midrange-Kingfisher Kichwamba FB, upgrade-Mweya Safari Lodge FB.
Day Nine: Transfer to Fort Portal
Transfer to Fort Portal in the morning, stopping over at the Kilembe mines to view the beautiful scenery. Arrive in Fort Portal in time for lunch, after lunch you will have an optional visit to either one or all of these places; the Toro Kingdom Palace, burial grounds and Nyakasura to view the Amabere ga Nyinamwiru, crater lakes and a nature walk. Dinner and overnight at budget-Rwenzori View guest House BB, midrange-Mountains of the moon hotel BB, upgrade-Kibale Primate Lodge FB.
Day Ten: Chimp tracking- Kibale
The early morning chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest national park will thrill you, look out for primates like the colobus monkeys, families of chimps, a diversity of birds and an abundance of butterflies and other tropical insects. You will have a picnic lunch there, then you will take an optional visit to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary a superb ecotourism site established to protect the Magombe swamps-a haven of birds (137 species) and a number of primates. Dinner and overnight at budget-Rwenzori View guest House BB, midrange-Mountains of the moon hotel BB, upgrade-Kibale Primate Lodge FB.
Day Eleven: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Set off early in the morning and head northwestern Uganda to Murchison falls national park on a 5-7 hour journey. You will have lunch en-route. Proceed to the lodge have the evening at leisure; dinner and overnight at budget-Red Chili Camp bed only, midrange-Sambiya River Lodge BB, Paraa Safari Lodge FB.
Day Twelve: Murchison Falls National Park
Rise in the morning for a thrilling game drive, hopefully you will see elephants, giraffe, countless antelope, hippopotamus, hartebeest, leopard, giraffe, buffalo, crocodile, the Uganda kob, and wide range of bird species including the rare shoebill stork. Return to your camp for breakfast and lunch there after take an afternoon launch upstream. You will get to see the awe-inspiring Murchison Falls, where the River Nile hurls itself in appalling convulsions through a narrow crevice and then plunges 40 meters in one breathtaking leap. Dinner and overnight at budget-Red Chili Camp bed only, midrange-Sambiya River Lodge BB, Paraa Safari Lodge FB.
Day Thirteen: Transfer to Jinja
After breakfast, you will take an optional drive to the top of the falls to view the Nile forcing its way through a rocky gap of barely seven meters. Thereafter transfer to Jinja through the famous Luweero Triangle, making a stop over in Kampala for lunch. In Jinja you will have dinner and overnight at budget-Kingfisher Safari Resort BB, midrange-The Nile Porch BB, upgrade-Jinja Nile Resort BB.
Day Fourteen: Jinja
After breakfast you will visit the mighty Bujjagali falls, return to the lodge for lunch. Have the afternoon at leisure. Take a boat ride to the source of the Nile at 5.00pm. Dinner and overnight at budget-Kingfisher Safari Resort BB, midrange-The Nile Porch BB, upgrade-Jinja Nile Resort BB.
Day Fifteen: Transfer to Ssese Islands
After breakfast drive to Kampala stopover for an early lunch then proceed on your way to Ssese Island through a port on Lake Victoria in Entebbe. The islands will give you the Caribbean experience with their white sand beaches and sky blue waters. You will also encounter the vevet and colobus monkey, a variety of bird species and scores of butterflies. Dinner and overnight at Ssese Island beach hotel FB.
Day Sixteen: Ssese Island
Early in the morning you can go for an optional activity of your choice; this would include a nature walk, a boat ride or half day fishing or any other activity of your choice. Dinner and over night at Ssese Island Beach hotel FB.
Day Seventeen: Transfer to Kampala
Transfer to Entebbe by boat then drive to Kampala for a city tour that takes you either through the sites and sounds of Kampala, that is, the Uganda Museum, markets around town, arts and craft markets, Bahai temple, Makerere University Kampala, the National Theatre; or the Kabaka’s heritage trail which take you to Nagalabi coronation site, Kasubi tombs, Wamala tombs, Kitereke Prison Ditch Kabaka’s Lake and Ssezibwa falls. Dinner and overnight at budget-Banda Inns BB, midrange-Hotel Africana BB, upgrade-Mamba Point BB.
Day eighteen: Departure
After breakfast, transfer by boat to Entebbe where you will be met by your Into Africa Safaris driver-guide. Drive to Entebbe Air port to catch your flight back home.
