Day 1 Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Set of for Bwindi early in the morning heading towards southwestern Uganda. The drive will take approximately 9-10 hours. The drive takes you through the grasslands of Ankole, a common sight is the famous long-horned cattle; then to the highlands of kigezi with their beautifully terraced hills. Stop over for lunch Kabale. Arrive in Bwindi National Park in the evening. Dinner and overnight at budget-Bwindi View bandas BB, midrange-Buhoma homesteads FB, upgrade-Gorilla Forest Camp FB.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking-Bwindi National Park
After an early tea or coffee set off with your packed lunch for the park offices for a briefing that prepares you for your trek. When you finally meet the gorillas you will spend one hour with. The thrill of your encounter will erase the difficulties of the strenuous trek. You will enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display. Return to camp for dinner and over night at dinner and overnight at budget-Bwindi View bandas BB, midrange-Buhoma homesteads FB and upgrade-Gorilla Forest Camp FB.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, depart northwards for Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment, arrive in time for an evening game drive to the crater area for an out standing scenery of the rich grassland set deep into volcanic craters and where you are able to view some wildlife. The park boasts of a variety of big game like; lions, buffaloe, kobs, elephants, bushbucks, and the rare occasional leopard. Have dinner and over night at budget-Albertine Rift Safari Lodge FB, midrange-Kingfisher Kichwamba FB, upgrade-Mweya Safari Lodge FB.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast you will go for an optional nature walk in either Kyambura Gorge or Maramagambo forest.Walking through the gorge you might see colobus monkeys, baboons, red tailed and velvet monkeys, and other primates. After lunch, go for an afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel, and enjoy the hippos, buffaloes, and elephants, which can be seen at the banks. There are also a rich variety of birds on the channel. Retire for dinner and over night at budget-Albertine Rift Safari Lodge FB, midrange-Kingfisher Kichwamba FB, upgrade-Mweya Safari Lodge FB.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will go for the early morning game drive to catch-up with the early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. You are likely to meet grazing hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas and leopards, bushbuck, water buck and stripped jackal, and of-course several warthogs. Transfer to Kampala lunch en-route. En-route look out for the famous long horned Ankole cattle and several elands along Lake Mburo area.
Stop over at the Equator in Masaka, the drum makers at Mpambire then proceed to Kampala.
