DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Entebbe International Airport – Transfer to Kampala City 

You will be picked from Entebbe international airport by our company representative and driver guide for a transfer to your reserved hotel in Kampala for relaxation with a glass of fresh juice, briefings about the entire tour and have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Morning Rhino Tracking – Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

This day after breakfast embark on road drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rate morning White Rhino tracking at ziwa sanctuary; this is the only place where these giants can be found in the wilderness and after their massive killing. Tracking them to footstep will give a great opportunity for photo moment since they are so peaceful if you follow the guidelines from UWA ranger. Return to the lodge for a short break, have lunch and later drive to meet Murchison Falls National Park with its magnificent and strong falls. For relaxing, dinner and overnight

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Morning game drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise – Evening Hiking to top of the falls

After an early morning breakfast depart for a morning game-drive through the scenic Northern Route to the shores of Albert Nile. Explore the Park’s amazingly high concentration of game in search for Lions, Giraffes, buffalos, Kobs, waterbucks, and Elephants. Have a short break for lunch and later go for an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls to lookout for Hippos, Nile crocodile, Waterbuck and a host of water birds and then in the evening go for a hike to top of the falls. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park – Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park – Visit to the Lokajong Cave 

After breakfast you will continue the journey to the most magnificent and Africa’s finest wildernesses through the remote villages of Acholi, to the Karamonjos homesteads and finally into the valleys of Kidepo national park that happens to be the most beautiful and #3 best National park in Africa as voted by CNN travel channel. Have en-route stop for lunch and then continue to check in at the lodge. Dinner and overnight

Day 5: Kidepo National Park – Morning game drive – Visit to the hot springs and nature walk

At Kidepo Valley National Park, After a morning breakfast at the lodge, have your packed lunch and go for Kidepo Valley morning game drive “Africa’s finest wilderness” to search for the great games of the park and most of them are unique to the park these include African Elephants, Leopard, Bush bucks, Giraffes, African Buffaloes, Lion, Cheetah and this is the only park in Uganda where you can meet ostriches in the wild have lunch break and later go for an evening game drive to the hot springs via the palm trees lined along Kidepo River, in search for Ostriches and leopards, tortoises along the way. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 6: Kidepo Valley National Park – Karamojong traditional manyattas in Nakapirimoru

After morning breakfast continue with Kidepo valley national park tour to Kotido east of Kaabong to the village of Nakapirimoru to visit the Karamojong traditional Manyattas (homesteads) this particular one is as comparable to a city once viewed from a higher elevation and is said to rank among the first in east Africa. The Karamojong are a pastoral people and predominantly breed cattle and goats, they are easily recognizable by their unique style of dress and beadings, our guide will take us through the homestead designs, local cuisines and meet the elders who will narrate the tribe’s folklore and beliefs, Overnight stay and meals, Accommodation Kotido town

Day 7:  Kotido Town – Nyero rock painting – Sipi falls morning hiking – Transfer to Jinja

On this day after break embark on a road drive to Kumi for a guided visit to the Nyero rock paintings, which are believed to be between 300 to 1000 years old, these are of red and white pigment of concentric circles and some of elongated geometric shape although one can also make out other related shapes housed in three caves and regarded as the best rock paintings in East African region have lunch from Mbale town and later go for Sipi Falls hiking, characterized by four spectacular falls along river Sipi, flowing down the Mount Elgon. The area is particularly panoramic with view of the Karamoja valley. The activity will take you through the daily life of a typical African village. Have a short break with a sip of fresh juice and later proceed with the journey to Jinja. Dinner and overnight

Day 8: Jinja town – Source of the River Nile – Explore Mabira Forest Reserve – Sezibwa Falls 

After breakfast, drive to meet the source of the Nile on a boat, discovered by J. Speke in 1864 later, return to the hotels to have lunch and then drive to Kampala with a short visit to Mabira forest reserve and Sazibwa Falls the ancestral place for Buganda Kingdom.  Then in the evening drives to Kampala for dinner and overnight.

Optional recommended: For lovers of water sports and nature, do not miss the opportunity to go white water rafting along river Nile, one of the most exciting and safest in the world. You can also choose among other activities like “quad” riding, boat trips on the Nile, mountain bike cycling and horse riding. Lunch included.

Day 9: Kampala City – Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park– Evening game drive / Guided Evening nature Walk

After having your breakfast, embark on an exciting road journey to Lake Mburo National Park with an en-route stop over at Kayabwe Equator crossing point to get informed about the equator with water experiment, take photos and buy snacks later embark on the drive to check in at your reserved lodge for lunch and relaxation after the journey. Later go for your evening guided nature walk in search for different wildlife search as birds, several antelopes most especially Impalas plus Zebras but you may decide to go for a guide evening game drive however, my strong advice is that you should go for a guided nature walk. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 10: Lake Mburo National Park – Morning wilderness horseback riding – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and go out for horseback riding safari– a nature walk on horses for 2 hours in the park accompanied by a professional guide will be one of the best since you get the opportunity to get closer to animals and photo moment. Return to the lodge for another set of breakfast and then depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park the land of vast savannah and great variety of wildlife, drive straight to check in at your lodge have lunch and relax the whole evening relaxing at the lodge.

Day 11: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Early Morning game drive – Afternoon Boat cruise – Evening community nature walk

Early rise today, 06:00am grab your breakfast and depart for your morning game drive to catch the big cats of the park such as lions, hyenas as they are still active hunting for their survival. Other animals to see on the game drive are; cape buffalo, the handsome Uganda kob, warthog, elephant, leopard, waterbuck. At 03:00pm, take a cruise on the Kazinga channel a haven for over 600 bird types, hippo, crocodile, Cape buffalo and later go for another evening game drive through Kasenyi tracker this will be specifically to search for the big hunters of the park such as Lions, Leopard, Spotted hyenas and many others since evening is their prime time to looking for their survival and expect to find them in action. Later return to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 12: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Morning game drive through Ishasha – Transfer to Entebbe international airport via Kampala Capital City 

Wake up to have breakfast and then drive to Ishasha sector to search for the amazing tree climbing lions and after collecting memories. Later return to later drive straight to Entebbe international airport to meet your return flight back home with great experience of Uganda’s wilderness.
