Our trip begins with an attractive road drive to eastern Uganda through Mabira tropical rain forest to Jinja city to explore the source of the River Nile and for the magical white water rafting, Queen Elizabeth National Park the center for big predators, boat cruising and the tree climbing lions of Ishasha. The Adventure will take you to the southwestern Uganda, Virunga Mountains to Bwindi Impenetrable forest to experience the breathtaking mountain gorillas. Bwindi is a pristine rainforest on the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley. The terrain is a string of ridges and valleys covered in very dense impenetrable forest. Bwindi Forest is the best place in Uganda to track mountain gorillas. The park protects half the world’s population and has several habituated groups. The forest is also bird-watchers paradises with 350 species recorded including many Albertine Rift endemics and then end this famous Uganda safari, at Lake Bunyonyi the Africa’s second deepest Lake for canoeing and bird viewing on Lake Bunyonyi.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Entebbe International Airport – Transfer to Jinja Town via Kampala with an en-route stop at Sezibwa Falls
You will be picked from Entebbe international airport by our company representative and driver guide to Kampala for relaxation with a glass fresh juice, briefing about the entire tour and later drive to Jinja town in Eastern Uganda with an en-route tour to the spectacular Sezibwa Falls a cultural heritage site of the Buganda Kingdom that is rich with traditional folklore as shall be narrated by the site guide and then continue with the drive to explore the Source of the Nile on a boat to the exact spot where the Nile waters starts to flow to pour in the Mediterranean Sea, enjoy the ride further into Lake Victoria, enjoying the beautiful countryside. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Jinja Town – Full day white water rafting – Kampala City
After breakfast, head out for a full day white water rafting adventure. Enjoy the most thrilling white water rafting at different grade stages. The journey begins at the Source of the Nile at 0930hr with a comprehensive briefing and the fitting of lifejackets and helmets. The rafting is done on an 18 kilometer stretch of the Nile River. The first few rapids are low grade (1, 2) and give clients a sense of confidence. As the river meanders through beautiful scenery, the rafts are guided into the mighty challenges of the best “grade 5” rapids on the Nile. Eight major rapids are rafted plus lower graded runs to maximize the adrenaline rush of this adventure.

Day 3: Kampala City – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP – Evening Boat cruising
You will set off after breakfast for the Queen Elizabeth National Park in the western part of the country. Have stopover at the Equator crossing point for photos at this international landmark where you will also watch the mesmerizing water experiments conducted at the spot where the two hemispheres divide. Drive through the rolling hills and lush vegetation to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive during time for an evening boat ride expect to watch uncountable hippos and Birds and plenty of Nile crocodiles basking on the shores of the channel, many animals will be seen drinking at the water’s edge such as Monitor lizards, Elephant herds, Buffaloes, Antelopes and by chance you might see the water shore killers such as lions, spotted hyenas as they have also come to quench their thirty with the waters of the channel this will be an excellent time for photography. Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via Ishasha sector
This day have breakfast and head out to Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, it is proudly known for harboring tree climbing lions that are mainly found in the giant fig and acacia trees. After meeting face to face with these amazing tree climbing lions, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park the home to a half of the world remain population of mountain gorillas for the most incredible wildlife experience “Mountain gorilla trekking” the following day.

Day 5: Bwindi Forest NP – Morning Gorilla trekking –Transfer Lake Bunyonyi
Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and depart for the morning pre trek Gorilla briefing at the park Headquarters. Later go for your long time awaited activity “Gorilla trekking” the time taken while trekking is not known but it is expected to be between2-8 hours depending on the movement of the Gorilla family you are allocated to. During the trek expect to discover other primates such as Chimpanzees, black and white colombus monkey, vervet monkey, and many others.
On encounter, spend an hour of exhilarating moments with these gentle giants. Return to the lodge for a shower, lunch. Then leave the home of red eyed giants and drive to Lake Bunyonyi where over 200 bird species have been recorded. “Bunyonyi” actually means “the place of many little birds” Lake Bunyonyi is one of the few African lakes completely safe for swimming and canoeing.
