This adventure embarks on an extraordinary 10-day journey with Into Africa Safaris to connect with some of the most ancient and culturally rich tribes in Africa. Our South Sudan Tribes Expedition takes you to the continent’s newest nation, South Sudan. Discover the Mundari and Dinka, two of Africa’s most traditional communities. The Mundari are a nomadic group of cattle herders living in remote areas along the White Nile River, north of Juba, the South Sudanese capital. They primarily rely on milk rather than meat for sustenance, depending on their vast herds of sacred cattle grazing on fertile river plains. The Mundari are fond of wrestling and singing, and they massage their cattle daily with ash to ward off insects and flies.
On this Into Africa Safari adventure, you will also encounter the Boya, Lotuko, and Toposa tribes, three traditional communities residing in the rugged hills of Eastern Equatoria state.
