In the morning, our guide from Into Africa safaris will do a pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Park, en route stop at the Equator for photographs and curio shopping, En route, lunch stopover at Emburara eco lodge restaurant with an optional art cultural visit here. Arrive in the evening, check in at the Lodge, relax and refresh. Take an evening game drive.
Have an early morning game drive to the Uganda kobs’ mating grounds and spectacular sights of tree climbing Lions, Elephants, Uganda Kobs, Buffaloes, Warthogs, topis and Bushbucks and much more. Early morning game drives are such a perfect time to spot nocturnal animals before they return to their hide outs. The end of this drive leads back to the lodge for relaxation and refreshment.
After lunch, we will then hope onto a boat destined for Kazinga channel, a channel that joins Lake Edward and Lake George. Here you will have an opportunity to marvel at many bird species, kingfishers, crocodiles and most importantly the gigantic hippopotamuses that are highly concentrated in this area. At the end of this adventurous day, we head back to the Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park through Ishasha sector famous for the tree climbing lions, if lucky, you will spot some. Bwindi is famous for the rare Mountain gorillas. The park also harbors at least 120 animal species including chimpanzees, L’Hoest’s monkeys, red and blue tailed monkeys. On arrival, check in and relax at the hotel. Later in the evening, take a guided nature trip for scenic views of the forest or birding hikes through the Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga, or Nkuringo trails. You can also opt for a community walk for encounters with the first people who lived in the forest.
Early transfer to the park headquarters at Buhoma. Enjoy the beauty and freshness of the forest, home to more than half of the world’s mountain gorillas. After a short briefing by the guides, proceed through the impenetrable forest to trek for the endangered animals depending on where they built their nest the previous night. For conservation purposes, time allowed with the Gorillas is 1 hour. Observe the gentle giants as they feed and play. In the afternoon, transfer to lake Bunyonyi the second deepest lake in Africa. Arrive late in the evening.
After an early breakfast, you can involve yourself in any activity like Bird Watching, a boat ride, swimming, a village walk to the Bakiga communities. Take note of their local livelihoods. Return to the lodge for Lunch. You can relax this afternoon.
Have morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to Rwanda crossing via Katuna border. On reaching Kigali city, check in at the hotel, have lunch, relax and rest. In the evening, have a Kigali city tour to different tourism sites.
Early in the morning after breakfast, transfer to the volcanoes national park. Arrive in the afternoon and have an evening nature walk for beautiful scenery of flora and fauna.
Early in the morning after breakfast, report to the headquarters in Kinigi to set off for the Golden monkey tracking expedition at the high latitudes of the park. Tracking theses endangered species takes approximately 3 to 4 hours transfer to the volcanoes national park for Gorilla tracking. In the evening after lunch, you can engage in a range of optional activities like caving and volcanoes hiking and birdwatching.
Have a morning breakfast, and transfer to Goma town (Grand Barriere) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Have a city tour in Goma and then proceed to Virunga national park.
After a morning breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and then start the hiking into the forest looking out for the endangered species. You will also have great chance of encountering other animals such as the colubus monkeys, and different bird and plant species in the forest. Affter lunch depending on your energy levels, you can engage in other activities like a nature walk, birdwatching, land scape viewing.
Have morning breakfast and depart to kigali for a return flight.
